Speaking from very recent personal experience I can honestly say that a golfing trip to the south of Spain will outstrip any other golfing trip you might consider going on. I have played the game all over the world but I don’t think that I have ever come across a place where the golf courses are so exciting to play or so well kept. Ok, maybe there are a few American courses that measure up, but if you are on any kind of budget, and you want a great course and a lovely location ,you will have to try very very hard to beat Spain.

I travelled down to the Costa Del Sol and booked myself to play four different courses. Every single course was better than any I have played in the UK, and I have played over fifty different courses in the UK.

Playing golf in Spain is a totally different thing from playing in England. Imagine the best course you have played here, add beautiful sunshine, the most amazing views, the most exciting and challenging courses, the best kept greens and fairways and the friendliest course owners and you are somewhere close. You will probably improve your game as well, because for me and my friends it totally reinvigorated our interest in the game, being able to lay in such an amazing location. A Weekend in Tenerife

Last year sometime, my girlfriend and I had a blazing row. It was the normal thing, a trivial affair that escalated beyond what it should have done. To be honest, a lot of that was down to me and I knew it. I decided to make a bit of a grand gesture, and I thought I would whisk her away for a long weekend to make up for it. We are fortunate that we only live an hour from one of the main airports, and it was quite easy for us to do something like this. It was only May, so I started to find out about the climate in some of the top European resorts at this time of year. I discovered that Tenerife weather at this time of year was generally great. I also checked out a Tenerife guide and there seemed to be loads of stuff for us to do, so I started to look for weekend deals.

There were loads to choose from, and the prices were brilliant. I plumped for a weekend in Playa de Las Americas, which is a very lively resort. I thought that we needed to let our hair down for a change, and blow the cobwebs away.

Once I told my girlfriend that I had booked us a weekend away in Tenerife the mood immediately began to soften! Before we knew it we were excitedly chattgng about all the fun we would have over the weekend.
