It is not heritage alone, Karnataka has countless alcoves of peace and great hill stations as half of Western Gnats run through the State. Western Gnats as you know is a world hotspot, rich in flora and fauna but under pressure from human intervention. With governmental special schemes to ensure the pristine status of Western Gnats, much of its beauty is preserved which are open only to visitors.

Some 300 kilometers of coastal line, beautiful Karvar port where deep sea cruising is encouraged, Caravan tour where you would hire a well-equipped van, nay, mobile home to see the fauna and flora in their natural habitat, and soon to be introduced night safari in the Bangalore’s Bannerghatta are some attractions you could hardly resist. All this is, of course, apart from Bangalore, the Garden City which is the IT capital of the Orient.

For adventure tourism, Karnataka among the southern India offers the best. Numerous rocky nooks and crannies, several perennial rivers where rafting is organized, trekking and rock climbing, simply ambling along forested paths holding the hands of your love are some other thrills awaiting you.

When you had your fill of adventure and heritage you could scoot to Coorg which is a picturesque hill town in South Karnataka. One cool place lying lazily enjoying the soft caress of Sun will make you feel in heaven. Coorg has many parts where human footfalls are not many and where you could breathe deep the spicy wind coming from cardamom and plantations around. Where you and your loved one could embrace and say, nice end to a lovely vacation.
